Texas Toast – A thick cut more square shaped bread that is found in the bread aisle. Day old bread works fine in this recipe.
Butter – Melts to become the vehicle to spread the herbs and spices over the whole piece of bread.
Garlic Powder – Spreads out easier than freshly minced garlic which can be used if you prefer.
Oregano – The bits of green herb that adds flavor, aroma and eye appeal.
Parmesan Cheese – Creates a classic Italian cheese flavor.
Mozzarella – Melts well and adds more creaminess.
Provolone – The slices are so easy to place on the toast and add a thick layer or flavorful cheese.
Parsley – A nice garnish for the top if you like.
TEXAS TOAST GARLIC CHEESE BREAD IN AIR FRYER
Our family of four prefers making this garlicky bread in our air fryer and toaster oven because the tray holds 6 slices of Texas Toast and heats up so quickly. The toaster oven is most convenient for me, but I have certainly made this recipe in the oven and that works fine too.
Using our Cuisinart Air Fryer & Toaster Oven that sits up on the counter makes it so easy to peep in and watch the cheese bubbling. If bubbling cheese doesn’t make your face smile, surely your heart will smile at the sight.
Some pepperoni can easily be added to have a heartier appetizer or meal and make another spin on one of my favorites – Air Fryer Pizza Sliders.
