An empty wash with salt will ensure that your washing machine is always clean . This is because salt usually has specific characteristics such as lime reduction, since it reduces the hardness of the water which is precisely the cause of lime formation.

In fact, it is very important to prevent limescale because it is the main cause of breakdown of household appliances such as the washing machine or dishwasher. In addition, salt absorbs moisture and therefore prevents the formation of mold and bad odors.

Simply put approximately one kilo of coarse salt in the basket and activate a high temperature wash . These will ensure that the grains of salt dissolve, avoiding limescale.

However, you can also think about creating a homemade limescale remover with a few simple ingredients that you will find very easily in your kitchen. You will need: 2 tablespoons of coarse salt, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 glass of demineralized water. Simply add the ingredients in the order written and perform a high temperature wash.
