The solution for scattered cables? The cardboard roll.
The toilet paper roll can also be of help to us due to the multitude of cables that are scattered in drawers or boxes, making it impossible to find them quickly and, above all, not to be in a hurry. Simply roll the wire onto itself, giving it a slightly elongated shape, and then insert it into the paper roll. Again, depending on the size and length of the cables, you can choose whether you want to use the entire roll or cut it into smaller pieces.
It may also be helpful to note what type of cable it is on the reel itself to make identification easier.

Another optimal use of the cardboard tube is to act as a “shuttle” for scattered threads. Simply wrap the loose thread around the roll to keep it neat and untangled. However, for better fixation, you can make a small vertical cut at one end of the roll into which you can insert the end of the thread and then start rolling. You can then use the same (or different) cut to secure the top of the thread. This way you can be sure that the thread will not come loose.
The possible uses of the cardboard roll in horticulture
If you like gardening, the cardboard toilet paper roll will also be useful in this area. When spread over the soil, irrigation ensures that water is retained for longer and the soil is kept hydrated for longer. Plants that require consistently well-hydrated soil grow better and faster. Additionally, since the cardboard tube is biodegradable, you don’t have to worry about removal as it will break down within about a year.
Finally, you can also use the roll of planting paper for plants. It is enough to make four vertical cuts of equal length. To be as precise as possible, you can take a roll of tape that you want to use as a base on a surface, place a marker on it, and bring the roll of paper closer to it. This way, with the fixed mark as you rotate the box, you get a precise mark around the entire perimeter, useful for limiting the depth of the cut.
