Since ancient times, nothing more than a simple rag with a broom was used to wash the floor and the floors came back clean.

Over the years this technique has never been lost, but rather there has been the invention and experimentation of different types of washing rags , each aimed at cleaning a different type of floor.

However, other methods have taken over, such as the mop , which today represents the eternal rival of the rag!

Everyone, at least once, has asked themselves the question “what would be best to use for my home?”. Well, there is no definitive answer, but you can see what the advantages, or the so-called pros and cons of both the rag and the mop are.

Why use the mop?

The mop , as already mentioned, concerns a washing method that has existed for less time than the cloth, despite this there are many people who choose it every day.

There are various types, it is no coincidence that before purchasing it there is always careful reflection on which one to choose .

The most used ones are:

Rotating mop : one of the most convenient. This mop, once wet, can be wrung out effortlessly by placing it on the special rotating device which will rotate by pressing the foot on a pedal on the sides of the bucket. Fantastic if you don’t want to stoop and make any effort at all.
Mop with telescopic stick : excellent for overcoming all the difficulties that arise when you have to adjust the stick according to your height. In fact, this mop can be lengthened or shortened with simple movements.
Mop with swivel head : this is a model equipped with a mop with a fully swivel head, very useful for easily reaching the most difficult to clean areas such as corners, under furniture or beds and so on.
